David Chaum is the original founder of the xx network.The xx network is the first consumer-scale, quantum-secure online platform that allows you to communicate and exchange value without revealing metadata. David is a pioneer in cryptography and privacy-preserving technologies, and is widely recognized as the inventor of digital cash. His work on cryptographic “vault systems” contains the first proposal for a blockchain protocol, containing all but one element detailed 26 years later in the Bitcoin white-paper. His company, DigiCash, created the first digital currency, eCash, in 1995. eCash deployed David's breakthrough cryptographic blind signature protocol to create the world's first attempt at anonymous digital cash. With a Ph.D. in computer science from UC Berkeley, he taught at NYU Graduate School of Business and the University of California, led a number of breakthrough projects and founded the International Association for Cryptologic Research.

Currently, I am the co-founder and COO of Veda Tech and the Managing Partner and COO of Seven Seas Capital. Additionally, I serve as the Head of Operations at Sommelier, and I have also held executive positions at xx network and Elixxir, where I played a key role in launching the projects from inception to over a $400 million valuation. Additionally, I have served on the board of directors for Privategrity and xx network, where I served on the compliance committee. Before entering the tech industry, I served as a Captain in the US Marine Corps as a communications officer. I have also worked as an investment banker at Houlihan Lokey, where I focused on M&A for Industrials. My journey with programming began in 9th grade with the creation and public release of my first mobile app and the founding of my own business. In the following years, I became an Eagle Scout and graduated from Northeastern with honors. Professionally, I have built brand new communications protocols based on cutting-edge research from the ground up and saved companies millions of dollars by modernizing and rebuilding their internal technology. Through a career spanning half a dozen companies of different shapes and sizes, I've picked up specializations and expertise ranging from network engineering and full stack development, to database architecture, DevOps, cryptography, and more. In recent years, finally settled into role as a senior engineer with emphasis on project management, mentorship, and hands-on advanced technical implementation. I'm particularly proficient in general backend development, infrastructure as code, and building/working with databases.
