The Role

• Engaging with stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of requirements, compliance needs, security concerns, and quality standards.

• Architecting and implementing comprehensive testing strategies for Angular and TypeScript-based financial applications.

• Developing automated test frameworks and scripts using industry best practices for financial software testing.

• Creating detailed test documentation, test plans, and quality assurance processes.

• Ensuring regulatory compliance and security best practices throughout the QA lifecycle.

• Managing test environments, tracking defects, and communicating test results to cross-functional teams.

• Collaborating with development teams to establish quality gates and testing standards.

• Clearly communicate technical issues, risks, and quality metrics to technical and business stakeholders.

• Staying current with QA methodologies, tools, and financial industry regulations.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a QA Engineer working in financial services or similar regulated industries.

• At least 4-6 years of experience in full stack testing with specific focus on Angular applications.

• Expert familiarity with the following technologies:

  • Angular (versions 8+)

  • TypeScript/JavaScript testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma, Jest)

  • Protractor, Cypress, or Selenium for E2E testing

  • RESTful API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)

  • CI/CD testing integration (Jenkins, GitLab CI)

  • Performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)

• Experience testing applications deployed to major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).

• Proven experience implementing test automation frameworks for financial applications.

• Strong understanding of financial data security and privacy requirements.

• Excellent communication ability with both technical and business stakeholders.

• Experience in implementing quality standards in compliance-focused environments.

Nice to Have

The following would be bonus experience to have, though highlight any additional experience or skills you may have. We like working with people with varied backgrounds and experiences.

• Knowledge of financial regulations (SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR) and their impact on testing.

• Experience with database testing (SQL, NoSQL).

• Security testing experience (OWASP, penetration testing).

• Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, qTest).

• Financial industry certifications (ISTQB, CSTE).

• Background in testing high-volume transaction systems or financial and trading platforms.
