Your Role

At Polygon Labs, we’re shaping the future of stablecoins, fintech, and payments through cutting-edge blockchain solutions. As a Business Development Manager (Payments) APAC, you will be instrumental in scaling Polygon’s strategic initiatives across the region, forging high-impact partnerships with banks, fintech firms, enterprises, and stablecoin issuers.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of blockchain adoption, working alongside global industry leaders to establish Polygon as the go-to blockchain infrastructure for payments and financial applications.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Payments and Liquidity, you’ll collaborate with the APAC leadership team to execute Polygon’s Payments strategy, secure high-value partnerships, and drive ecosystem growth.

Your Responsibilities

Deal-Making & Strategic Execution

• Identify, engage, and close high-impact partnerships with banks, fintech companies, stablecoin issuers, and enterprises in APAC.

• Develop and execute a pipeline of strategic business opportunities that position Polygon as the go-to blockchain for payments.

• Drive relationships with centralized exchanges across APAC to enhance liquidity and on/off-ramp capabilities.

• Work with Polygon’s Enablement Team to expand the APAC ecosystem and onboard key players.

• Own and deliver on quarterly business development targets while providing regular progress reports to leadership.

Ecosystem & Partnership Growth

• Work closely with the APAC leadership team to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in the region.

• Act as a key liaison for existing strategic partnerships, ensuring they align with Polygon’s long-term growth strategy.

• Engage with Polygon’s RWA, DeFi, and enterprise teams to maximize adoption across different financial verticals.

• Represent Polygon at high-profile industry events, conferences, and roundtables, leveraging your network to close deals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Market Intelligence

• Work cross-functionally with marketing, developer relations, and product teams to accelerate payments adoption on Polygon.

• Gather insights from dApps, fintech firms, and institutions to enhance Polygon’s payments strategy and improve user experience.

• Lead strategic initiatives to educate partners on the advantages of Polygon’s payments infrastructure.

• Assist in marketing campaigns, exclusive networking dinners, and APAC ecosystem events to foster deeper engagement.

What You'll Need

• Experience & Expertise: 3 - 5+ years in business development within blockchain, fintech, payments, or institutional finance, with a strong track record in closing strategic partnerships.

• Blockchain & web3 Knowledge: Deep understanding of stablecoins, real-world asset tokenization (RWA), DeFi, and financial applications in Asia.

• Relationship-Building: Strong ability to engage, negotiate, and collaborate with institutions across fintech, banking, and blockchain.

• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment with minimal oversight.

• Technical Fluency: Capable of articulating Polygon’s product suite to institutional partners.

• Multilingual Advantage: Mandarin proficiency is a plus for engaging key stakeholders.

• Tech & Data Proficiency: Skilled in CRM tools, data-driven decision-making, and growth strategies for scaling partnerships.

• Team-Oriented with a Global Vision: Collaborative mindset to support Polygon’s global teams and drive web3 adoption in payments.
