Coinbase's Platform Product Group is hiring for experienced backend engineers to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems, bridging the constraints posed by web-scale applications and blockchain technology. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe, operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and managing the most secure, dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud.
The Platform Product Group’s mission is to build a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform to maximize velocity, efficiency and quality. They build the foundations that can be used by multiple products and teams at Coinbase so that users can have a consistent and high-quality experience. There are many teams that make up the Platform Product Group. We are currently hiring backend engineers to join our pods within our Identity, FinHub and Payments teams.

For select roles, Coinbase is piloting an AI tool based on machine learning technologies to conduct initial screening interviews to qualified applicants. The tool simulates realistic interview scenarios and engages in dynamic conversation. Your interview responses, in the form of a voice recording and/or transcript will be assessed in terms of the job qualifications and characteristics listed in the position description above by a human recruiter.
For other select roles, Coinbase is piloting BrightHire, an AI interview intelligence platform, to transcribe and summarize interview notes, allowing our interviewers to fully focus on you as the candidate.
Depending on your role and stage in the application process, you will be informed of more specifics regarding which tool(s) will be used as part of the interview process.
These interview tools enable us to give a greater number of candidates an initial interview who meet our mandatory hiring criteria.
