I’m a researcher, content strategist, and advocate passionate about advancing gender justice through policy, storytelling, and cross-sector collaboration. I am currently pursuing my Master's in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge as a member of King's College. I research how a feminist love ethic in masculinities-focused interventions can transform patriarchal violence. My dedication to justice and support work extends beyond the classroom—I serve as Welfare Officer and Sports and Societies Officer for the King's graduate student body, providing peer support and access to free sexual health products. Globally, I have the opportunity to work on issues of justice and well-being in my role as Co-Chair of the Youth Committee and Communications Intern for the Psychology Coalition at the United Nations. My research on patriarchal violence was inspired by my year on the 2024 Thomas J. Watson Fellowship. I explored international, masculinity-focused gender-based violence prevention efforts. I learned from and worked alongside organizations in Australia, Thailand, South Africa, New Zealand, Croatia, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom that create spaces for boys and men to critically engage in conversations about survivor-focused and feminist allyship, emotional literacy and well-being, and gender-based violence prevention. I pursued this transformative fellowship following my graduation from Oberlin College ('23), where I studied psychology (highest honors), dance, law & society, and education. Through my four years at Oberlin, I created and led an organization called Survivors Of Sexual Harm & Allies (SOSHA), an ongoing organization that advocates for justice for survivors of sexual violence, creates support spaces, and provides visibility around gender-based violence through events like Take Back the Night. Alongside SOSHA, I co-created the Athletic Coalition to End Sexual violence (ACES) and led research projects in social psychology. While at Oberlin, I also found my love for mentoring through my roles as a writing associate and Peer Advising Leader for first-year students, and for advocacy in my work with NGOs and government agencies that work across local, state, and national levels of policy. My continued work is in building bridges across difference—I am excited by strategic communications, conflict transformation, and community organizing for justice and equality, and I aim to contribute to a safer and more compassionate world.
