I'm a passionate software developer, educator, and author with over 20 years of experience in programming and 18 years teaching at universities across Latin America. Throughout my career, I've worked across web, backend, and mobile development using technologies like Kotlin, Java, Python, and Rust—building clean, scalable, and maintainable software. I’ve led teams of all sizes, from small agile squads to large-scale engineering organizations of 70+ developers. My experience includes roles as Tech Lead, Program Manager, Delivery Manager, and Engineering Manager, creating teams from scratch and optimizing delivery in complex environments. I’m driven by outcomes, developer experience, and long-term impact. As the author of 8 technology books (including Kotlin for Java Developers), I bring a clear, pedagogical approach to teaching both in academia and industry. I've taught in over 15 universities, at undergraduate and graduate levels, and I regularly mentor engineers and technical leaders. My current focus is on AI engineering, Generative AI, and blockchain ecosystems like NEAR and Solana. I also design and lead innovation programs, internal hackathons, and upskilling strategies. I'm an active community leader—organizer of GDG Cancún, speaker at tech events, and contributor to initiatives like AWS Community Builders and Supabase Meetups in Mexico.
