Hi! I am a user experience designer who believes in the power of design to force change and shape the way we think and feel. I am a creative problem solver. I conceptualize ideas to create smart and functional solutions. I strive to innovate and push the boundaries of traditional design. A lot more than 'just making a website look pretty or cool’, I understand the psychology of how humans think, act, and behave to manipulate colors, typography, and visual appeal for aesthetically pleasing experiences based on user research. My goal is to give people a great experience by making complex things feel simple, to smooth out existing interaction concepts and to invent new ones. I enjoy collaborating and creating interaction and experience designs through creative workshops, sketches, wireframes, interactive flows and prototypes in relation to user needs and the scope of the project. I have designed solutions for web, mobile, and branding projects. There are four principles I live by: 1. Stay Curious The day you stop learning is the day you stop living. I like to play the lifelong student to keep my curiosity sharp. I have an appetite to learn and to embrace challenges. 2. Sensitive Observation The power of observation is any designer’s greatest asset so I fight the inclination to habituate: stay a beginner to notice the things no one else can see. 3. Fearless Thinking Never be afraid to challenge the rules. I confront assumptions, leave nostalgia behind, and push dogma aside. 4. Reduce, Clarify, Simplify A designer must be able to communicate effectively. To simplify is to communicate with clarity of intent: “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.”
