I’m a UX content designer and writer specializing in consumer shopping, contextualizing AI, sustainability, personalization, UX guidelines, and storytelling. I’m also an expert in user education, scalable copy patterns, online help copy, and educating others on the role of content design. My career experience spans journalism, editing, publishing (literary agency), professional writing, copywriting, and editing and translating (Finnish to English). Prior experience: At the Elina Ahlback Literary Agency I represented dozens of award-winning and bestselling Finnish fiction, nonfiction, children’s and young adult authors in the World English and Nordic markets. I established the agency’s New York office in May of 2014. As the Deputy Editor of Finnair’s inflight magazine, Blue Wings, I oversaw the publication's editorial process: I planned, commissioned and edited all content, approved all layout and design, and tracked ad placements and budgets. I continue to contribute to Blue Wings as a reporter and editor on a frequent basis. Specialties: In my career as a journalist I have written about travel, theater, small business, media professionals, health and culture. I’ve also created and edited content for web sites and company newsletters, helped organizations implement communications strategies, and worked as a Finnish to English translator. I’ve contributed to publications such as Inc.com, ThisisFinland, Mediabistro and Publishers Weekly, and produced custom publishing projects such as the 10th anniversary publication of Nobel Peace Prize winner Martti Ahtisaari’s nonprofit organization CMI.
